Swedish directing duo babybaby place London soul-funk outfit Franc Moody into a distorted 3D landscape, in their video for Flesh and Blood. Spanning a wild variety of glitchy textures and defective 3D scans, babybaby (Josefin Malmen and David Strindberg) continue to plow the furrow they have explored in videos for the likes of Nick Murphy, exploring the space between live action and animation, where mistakes and mangled data form a unique and engaging aesthetic. Using Photoshop-style tools and wireframes to represent the layers/planes of the video, the video toes the line between technical masterpiece and lo-fi wonder, with a perpetually changing environment and fun performances.
