A year in the making, this animated video by Boston-based visual artist and musician TJ Reynolds is truly remarkable. Made up of over 6000 individual chalk drawings on a six foot wall that Reynolds built specifically for the project, it’s a surreal blend of imagery that never stops morphing, expanding and collapsing, for Kings and Queens by Player Piano, the musical project of Indiana-raised, London-based Jeremy Radway. The huge, gorgeous and colourful artworks depict fish morphing into dragons, knights becoming kings before melting away and otherworldly landscapes being built from a human face. It’s an enormous achievement which TJ Reynolds says has left him with "permanently stained hands". It's not surprising.
