In the video for The Dance You Sell, we see vocalist Saul Kane being trained as a dodgy car dealer, tasked to sell an old, beat-up banger of a vehicle that is long past its expiry date, by his crooked boss (played by Rowland D. Hill)."In society, we have a habit of worshipping the past and wishing we could go back to the days when life was ‘better’," Allen mentions. "Our retrospection becomes deranged as we delete all the negatives from our memory."For this music video, I wanted to explore the people who deal in selling the past, aimed specifically at the con men of the world, who want to sell you it, no matter how crap it is."With excellent performances from the whole group - and a dynamic performance setup to tie it all together - the video has a charming quality that sticks with you after watching."This is for my mum who got sold a dodgy car that blew its engine a couple of weeks afterwards," adds Allen. Young T & Bugsey channel their inner car salesmen in KLVDR's trippy promo for New Shape. Opening with a lo-fi throwback to 90's public access television, where amateur videographers ruled the waves, the visual soon switches into something decidely more pro and glossy - though with the same tongue-in-cheek attitude and aesthetic.Playing out as part hip-hop promo and part sketch show, the feelgood video is bang on-trend with kaleidoscopic AR shots and plenty of subtle VFX. But it's the hilarious performances that really make this promo shine.
