Flora Scott and Connie Swift have collaborated to direct a timely and effective video for London artist Kamal., about a generation in crisis.

Kamal's 'all my favourite people are sad' is a lovely song that addresses the anxieties that plague Kamal.'s friends every day. The video delivers that message with a strong idea and a doc-style approach: as Kamal. peforms in his own bedroom, his friends are stuck in theirs.

The video features Kamal's fans and collaborators in an intimate glimpse of their lives and homes. These are twentysomething Londoners, and there's a sense that these are the bedrooms they grew up in. Using intimate, personal portraiture, the video deliverss a bigger message. These young people are not only still living in those bedrooms, they have become marooned in them, fearful of the world outside. 

Co-directed, produced and shot by Scott and Swift under their studio Early Hours, it's very commendable work.
