Josh Homme being chased down a suburban Californian street by a crazed mob is a very good way to get our attention to hear the first release from the new Queens Of The Stone Age album.

And from that point, Christopher Gruse and Tony Wolski's video for Easy Street just keeps getting better.

It turns out that despite Josh's look of desperation as he apparently flees this motley crew in fancy dress, they are actually his friends. But they are also far more dangerous. They are non-conformists, living life on their own terms - and other people don't like that.

This video is marvellous. It succeeds in being superbly cool, with a nice political sting thrown in. It's very QOTSA - for a song which shows they are also doing their own thing, refusing to be buttonholed. Watch it.
