Bárbara Bandeira 'Marcha' by Ruben Do Valle
Promonews - 20th Jan 2026
Bárbara Bandeira becomes the iconic figure representing modernity and change in a country devoted to tradition in Ruben Do Valle's visually rich video for the Portuguese pop singer.
Set against the backdrop of Viana do Castelo - a city in the north of Portugal - the video for Marcha is a visual ode to contemporary Portuguese identity, a dialogue between tradition and modernity, faith and emotion. The director transforms the imagery of local processions and folk devotion into a poetic journey through light, ritual and memory, capturing a country suspended between past and future.
With a cinematic eye that blends documentary realism and lyrical mysticism, the film reinterprets the idea of portugalidade - not as nostalgia but as living spirit.
"More than a music video, Marcha is a reflection on belonging, heritage and collective soul," says do Valle.
