Lina Makoul brings sensitivity, restraint and a wonderful eye to the film that accompanies the Together For Palestine single Lullaby. And it's all the more powerful as a result.

Shot in Jerusalem and Gaza, it's a series of portraits of Palestinians. Evidence of the war in Gaza is everywhere but Makoul focusses on the humanity and normality of her subjects, rather than overtly presenting them as victims. It's not a documentary, Makoul has set the simple scenes with a cast of local actors. Nevertheless its a window into a real world which the news cameras ignore.

As an accompaniment to this beautiful song - released to raise money for Palestinian charities - the result is very affecting. This was shot and produced by Ashraf Dowani, and creative produced by Nabil Elderkin, and they and Makoul have done a wonderful job with this film.
