The slick video for Khalid by 91 Rules finds the Texan singer-songwriter in an abstract club space, cutting between solitary performance and being joined by a joyful mass of dancers.

With excellent production design and a sizzling edit by Charlie Von Rotberg - one of the nominees for Best Editing In A Video at this year's UKMVAs - the video for in plain sight comes on the heels of news that Khalid is well underway in preparing to release his new album, After The Sun Goes Down. In an interview with GQ, he noted that his upcoming music will be largely inspired by his recent journey of coming out as queer.

“I wanted to recreate the impact of music that inspired me, but through a queer lens and a queer perspective,” he told Euphoria magazine. “If I’m going to come into this industry again, and in a way start anew, I want to be the pop star that I always envisioned myself to be, that I was so afraid of becoming.”
