Bobby Gillespie walks in the footsteps of Stanley Kubrick's Droogs in Douglas Hart's video for Primal Scream.

The video for The Centre Cannot Hold sees Gillespie strolling through the concrete walkways of the Thamesmead Estate, location for some iconic scenes in Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, clad in distinctive black cape and hat.

LIke the location, Gillespie is unmistakeable - and appears to have wandered into the place from another late 60s or early 70s Brit movie - Witchfinder General perhaps. It's a very effective combination and the result from Hart - not only a longtime collaborator of Gillespie, but also an original member of Primal Scream - is stylishly cinematic.
