Birdman meet UK rap as we see Asher D walking through a one-take rehearsal for a play - only for reality and fantasy to start to spill into one another - in Filmawi's riveting video for Dat's A Wrap.
Beginning with a theatre director screaming at a runner as the camera slowly pans out to reveal a whole production with crew, with some trying to calm the situation down. In the middle of everything Asher appears on-screen, calm and smooth as ever. He moves through the scene performing the track to the camera, describing his film career. He keeps his interactions with the surrounding cast to a minimum - even when one has a medical emergency.
Filmawi excels in putting the viewer in a position where they feel familiar with the situation, only to flip the script in a perfectly-timed surreal moment at the climax. Watch again to look out for clues... the ending makes it one to remember.
