Zeynep Oguz directs a cyclical performance video for Turkish/British artist Shan Ali's debut music video.

The understated concept utilises rotating camera movement and reversed editing to allude to the feeling of being stuck in a place and time.

Taking on the role of DoP in addition to directing, Oguz frames the artists in a succession of concrete and glass buildings, each one nondescript and unidentifiable, feeding into to the blurred nature of time passing by.

The upbeat performance setups juxtapose the lyrical content, which deal with the nature of coming to terms with your true feelings. Shot pre-pandemic, the video promises an optimistic - yet sadly unfulfilled - 2020, though the pair will no doubt achieve big things in the year to come.
