Combining numerous tropes from Eighties films - including touches of Hanna Barbera-style animation - Salucci delivers a mind-boggling adventure featuring car chases, dance routines, and some sheer David Lynch-style weirdness.
DoP Bryant Jansen's neon-hued aesthetic is complemented by otherworldly animation and visual effects, and the overall effect is mesmerizing - even if it's not exactly clear what it all means.
