Rupert Bryan's song-and-dance extravaganza for Smiley, explores the idea of a person making a true connection - someone who shares the same wavelength.

Featuring a charismatic set of performers from the world of cabaret, Bryan provides an intriguing world around the singer, with the simple all-black set enhanced by flashes of VFX.

RUPERT BRYAN:

"In a decadent, heightened world where anything goes, Verity interacts with three dancers who embody multiple roles and diverse, larger than life characters. They communicate through the language of movement, physical interaction and dance until Verity finds her connection - her wavelength.

"The feeling of the video is glamorous, sexy and eccentric. In her quest to find a connection, she meets The Narcissist, The Bad Boy, The Drag Queen, The Funny Guy, Mr Kinky, Miss Sensitive and Mr Unhinged.... but ultimately comes to realise she can connect with all of these characters and many more.... or perhaps these are facets of her own personality?

"Smiley executes her performance with gravitas and sensuality, often with her eyeline directed down the camera lens, which gives the performance an engaging feel. The viewer is intoxicated by her, lured into the avant garde world in which she exists. There is also the added layer of a VFX wavelegth between the artists to subconsciously remind the viewer of the connections and communications occurring between them."
