Wills And The Willing 'Iceberg' by Rupert Bryan
Rob Ulitski - 9th June 2020
Rupert Bryan directs a cinematic performance visual for Wills And The Willing's Iceberg. And yes, that really is goalkeeping legend Petr Cech on drums.
Across several vignettes, singer and guitarist Ian Wills performs in picturesque locations, intercut with him driving a beautiful classic Mercedes sports car through the English countryside, while guest drummer Cech performs in a sunkissed country garden.
Relaxed and understated, the video is a celebration of music and life, set against a blissful early summer backdrop.
And if you already know about the drummer with a distingushed and record-breaking football career, director Bryan urges you to find out more about the frontman...
RUPERT BRYAN:
"Ian needed to make sure we kept our distances especially for his health concerns and of course the whole crew. Petr Cech turned up by himself, set up his drums, plugged his earphones in and we got shooting.
"We found an old private animal barn and disused airstrip so perfect for controlled locations. We shot on a Blackmagic 6K, A7S 2, Mavic Pro 2, and even a GoPro on the car bonnet!
"We had some challenges with minimal crew and a classic car that preferred staying still. And if you have five mins to read more about Ian, you will not be disappointed. He’s led quite a life...."
