Lydia Garnett brings Olivia Norris's extraordinary creation WET MESS to the screen for the first time in this refreshingly unabashed short film cum video for New Jersey singer-songwriter Donna Missal's Keep Lying.

WET MESS is the drag persona that Norris created for the 'Lip-sync 1000' contest at East London disco-pub The Glory last year - and she reached the final. In this first collaboration with Garnett - a photographer and director who is also head of communications at Somesuch - Norris interrogates her grotesque comic alter-ego in the relative privacy of her bathroom, where she starts to lipsync the Donna Missal song.

"This is a song that Liv has been performing in drag, and Donna gave Liv permission to explore the performance in a video context," explains Garnett, about her film of a challenging art performance that could only be described as refreshing relief and a bracing shot of homemade alternative art and culture in our current locked-down world.
