The Amity Affliction 'Soak Me In Bleach' by Daniel Daly
Australian band The Amity Affliction explore the imposing nature of nature itself in Daniel Daly's video for Soak Me In Bleach.
Nestled within a forest with the remnants of Autumn surrounding them, the group perform within a cage, protected from any outside threat. Intermittently cutting to sinister shots of the calm yet foreboding environment, the avant-garde structure of the video is a little difficult to decipher, but very much open for interpretation.
Shot on 16mm, the excellent cinematography by Frances Chen pushes the oranges and reds to exploit the seasonal colour palette. The video is simple in its concept but an apt take on a mysterious and energetic track.
