DoubleA 'I Love To Dance (But I Hate This Song)' by Adam Krstic & Griffin James
DoubleA throwback to noughties pop-punk in the video for I Love To Dance (But I Hate This Song) directed by bandmembers Adam Krstic & Griffin James.
Paying homage to artists such as Sum 41, Paramore and You Me At Six, the old formula is brought back to life: get a house, get some fans, and make it a party (and film it all).
There may be less spontaneity this time around, but the essence of the era is present and correcty, and grown-up fans will soak in the nostalgia of the pop-punk heyday.
ADAM KRSTIC & GRIFFIN JAMES:
"This video is our self-directed love letter to the MTV music video days. Taking inspiration from the cinematic Pop Punk music videos where Blink, Sum 41, Paramore, & Warp Tour friends ruled the screens. We adapted that style of treatment and added a 2019 twist to it.
"The story follows our band being booked to play a house party, which unknown to them, has a viral challenge theme. There's a lead girl at this party that the band are trying to impress. Individually they attempt to catch her attention but unfortunately for the band, the viral challenges she's taking part in get in the way in an amusing turn of events."
