London-based dreampop outfit Moon Panda collaborate with animators Andrew Khosravani and Maliboo in the delightfully hallucinogenic animated visual for That Girl. 

Throughout this slow-burning six-minute epic, the viewer follows a mini-submarine on a journey of exploration into the deep ocean, moving from naturalistic to fantastical sub-aqua worlds inhabited by ethereal spirits.

Visually representing the expansive, textural landscapes in the track, the result is psychedelic yet intimate, and very engaging. Built around a largely blue and red colour palette, the animation style is maximalist with a long list of visual references. Yet the piece feels fresh and contemporary. 

The collaboration between Barcelona-based animators Andrew Khosravani and Maliboo is a match made in heaven, and here's hoping they do more work together very soon.
