Cavetown 'Telescope' by Moon
Rob Ulitski - 3rd Oct 2019
Cavetown gets stuck in his own head in Telescope, directed by Moon.
Telling the story of the singer songwriter’s ongoing conflict with depression, and the constant battles faced with being stuck inside your own mind, the minimalist visuals are surreal and off balance, creating a dreamlike atmosphere. Understated but powerful, Cavetown's solo appearance in the video is poignant, and represents how the underlying themes are both personal and universal.
Superbly shot by Francis Lane, the balance of dark and light helps represent the duality of the project, and the spinning camera movements and striking art direction ensure our attention is kept throughout.
