Miloš Karadaglić 'The Sound Of Silence' by Souvid Datta
Rob Ulitski - 12th Aug 2019
Miloš Karadaglić escapes the hubbub of London life, just for a moment, in this video directed by Souvid Datta.
Sitting on a public bench and starting to play his guitar, the sounds of sirens and the hustle and bustle of the city disappear, as we hone in on the intricacies of this piece - The Sound Of Silence, appropriately - and the skill it takes to play it.
The simple performance shots are joined by slow motion footage of everyday London - people trying to get somewhere else, too busy to take in their surroundings. The video highlights the importance of taking in the moment, enjoying the present, and exploring what it means to be human in a world that never switches off.
