KEYAH/BLU 'Choker' by Jasper Cable-Alexander
David Knight - 28th June 2019
Choker is a genre-blending rap song about being pigeonholed as a 'pretty girl', by new South London artist KEYAH/BLU. Jasper Cable-Alexander supplies a very cool and intriguing visual to accompany it.
Cable-Alexander gets into the psyche of the performer with classic in-camera techniques, and shabby-chic art direction and styling. It starts claustrophobic, gets quirky, and there's a nice line of dark humour, as KEYAH?BLU dispatches her pretty self to oblivion...
