Courtney Barnett gets introspective in her new video for Everybody Here Hates You, directed by longtime collaborator Danny Cohen. It features Australia's favourite slacker-rocker and her band performing the song from inside her brain. 

Beginning with the self-deprecating lyrics “I feel stupid, I feel useless, I feel insane,” the visual approach is ideal for the sentiment of the song.

Art director Marni Kornhauser was the brains behind the cerebral set, which wraps its fuschia-coloured lobes around Courtney, after a stirring performance with bassist Bones Sloane and drummer Dave Mudie, at the end.
