Turtle ft Eliza Shaddad 'Bloodtype' by Fanny Hoetzeneder
Fanny Hoetzeneder’s video for Turtle documents one of the illegal car meet-ups that happen on Sunday nights in London's outskirts.
This beautifully shot film captures the melting-pot of people who congregate at these meets to have a good time and proudly display their cars.
As day tunes into night, the setting of this suburban industrial carpark grows into a surreal world of neon lights and rain. Like in a dream, smoky burnouts and drifting donuts take place one after the other, all night long. And it’s hypnotic when set to the pulsating music of Jon Cooper (Turtle) and ethereal vocals of Eliza Shaddad.
