One production team Sean Clancy - he directs, produces, DoPs, art directs, edits, washes up, etc - follows up his vibrantly visual Super Silly video with a bombardment of visual jokes, with an overly cheerful TV presenter as our host, for I Am Harlequin.

"I liked the idea of making a bright, funny video around idioms, a complicated and colourful way of saying something more straight forward. By taking the lyrics of ‘minimal’ and ‘complicated’ as the starting point I was able to build simple, striking images that were also idioms for various aspects of a relationship, both good and bad. This is all framed with a ‘Blue Peter’ type presenter whose own romantic angst starts to bubble to the surface in an ironic parallel to the cheery façade. The overall goal being to create a visually witty accompaniment to a catchy, playful song."
