Laura Marling 'Next Time' by Laura Marling
David Knight - 2nd Mar 2017
This is the second of a trio of self-directed videos for tracks from Laura Marling's new album Semper Femina, and like the first, the emphasis is on female dance performance.
Also like the video for the Soothing, Marling has collaborated with choreographer Ali Green on Next Time, but they set themselves different parameters, and explore a different aspect of female sensuality.
The main performer is alone in a gracefully-styled master bedroom, and draws chalk circles around herself - and eventually escapes the self-imposed confines of the room to the beach where she meets another woman...
