Marika Hackman teams up with the ladies from The Big Moon for her new video Boyfriend directed by Libby Burke Wilde.

Wilde's video is a great bait-and-switch performance, dangling the oh-so-boring all-male band at a gig video trope in front of us, before revealing that they're not even plugged in. The camera follows a mess of cables up to an attic where Hackman and co. are performing the song that the crowd downstairs are so into.

A great piece of commentary on the role gender plays in music, and just an out-and-out good performance video to boot.
