Mark Staubach's neo-noir tale of revenge and heartbreak really shines in his video for Julian Perretta.

The gorgeous setting of Chinatown bathed in neon light brings out the dream-like qualities of this video as Perretta sets about bargaining with Karma. It's a slick, cool and hazy aesthetic where performances take centre stage.

"My goal when writing the concept was to find imagery that blurs the line between fantasy and reality, matching Julian as he begs Karma to step in and exact revenge on his ex-lover.  Inspired by the melodic, eastern sounding interludes of the song, we found the perfect visual in the colourful streets of Chinatown.

"Our beautiful location and talented cast of performers set a great stage, but Julian really stole the show.  He impressed me every take with his amazing performances, both vocally and narratively.  You really feel like he’s being tormented by the memory of this girl, and hell-bent on getting back at her.

"Shot over one long night in Los Angeles, we captured on the Alexa Mini with vintage Kawa Anamorphic lenses, giving the image a distorted, soft, ambiguous quality, perfectly matching Julian’s emotional state. The result is a haunting, vintage, noir-feeling experience. I’m extremely proud of this one, and I hope everybody loves it as much as me!"
