Feder ft. Alex Aiono 'Lordly' by Kristian Young
Cat Velez - 9th Sept 2016
The power has gotten to Feder's head in this video for Lordly, where he presides over two strikingly android-like dance couples - controlling their actions through a demanding, choreographed movements.Â
Dressed in black tie attire, the figures twist and turn following the brutal strokes of the French house producer's pen, which he wields - with complete disregard for their safety - from his office desk inside his impressively solemn stately home.Â
KRISTIAN YOUNG:
"We really wanted to make something that felt super symmetrical, from the detail of the set to the android performances, right down to the camera moves and placement, everything was about clean moves and being 'paired'. The idea is that these performers where almost factory bought, and then trained like pets to the slightly ominous, controlling Feder.
"Some of the choreography was really gruelling on the cast because of its violent nature, and they pushed themselves each take until we had enough to work with. It was so impressive to see each rehearsal build until we had the sequence you see in the film."
