Ben Smallwood, who directed the Martin Freeman-starring video for Paul Weller's Pick It Up last year, has now captured the exuberant energy of a young band following in the tradition of the Modfather, and taken a vintage approach to their nugget of Brit-psychedelia - with an apparent disregard for boring health and safety regulations.  

Brighton-based White Room goof around the Sussex countryside, shot on properly authentic 8mm film as well as digital, and featuring such eyecatching scenes as the lead singer singing while on the bonnet of a moving car. Surely no-one has actually done that in a pop promo since the Sixties...
