This striking video for UK hip hop artist ATO is Liam Zhang and Hannah Knight's first as a duo, set in a smog-choked industrial dystopia, with a population frozen by hopelessness and fear...

The video was mainly shot in various locations in northern China, where Zhang and Knight have been working on other projects, and also a day shooting the artist in an old, abandoned mill in Manchester.

Zhang undertook the extensive but understated VFX work, as well as acting as DoP while Knight edited the piece. But that frightening shroud of polluted air seems entirely real. A fittingly bleak vision of the future.
