Holy Esque 'Tear' by William Kennedy
David Knight - 3rd Mar 2016
This story of a young woman's inner turmoil, her trapped and lonely life in London, and her growing dependence on a strange parasitic creature, makes for a suitably disquieting visual accompaniment to the intense rock of Holy Esque's Tear.
The director William Kennedy, who also directed the video for the same band's song Hexx, says: "The story is cyclical. There is no end, no resolution. There is only routine, and a desperate yearning to escape. I guess it’s a film about my experiences of depression and loneliness in London. It seems paradoxical that one can feel so isolated in a city which is home to more than 8 million people."
