LarzRanda 'Lifeguard' by THUNDERLIPS - now at Good Egg in the UK
Auckland-based directing duo THUNDERLIPS have been one of our favourite discoveries this year. In fact Sean Wallace and Jordan Dodson have been making very cool videos for a couple of years, for New Zealand artists such as multi-instrumentalist Sheep, Dog & Wolf, indie pop band The Eversons, and rapper and pop-culture afficionado LarzRanda.
Their two previous LarzRanda videos, Frankenstein and Cosby Kid, played on 90s sitcom tropes and classic hip-hop clips respectively. But their latest for Lifeguard definitely takes a darker, and more cinematic turn. In this one, Randa gets to expand her acting range, and take on some creepier traits, stalking and obsessing over a pretty girl she doesn't know, and employing some extreme and shady means to get her attention.
