On this evidence, former Coral guitarist Bill Ryder-Jones's solo direction is towards meandering Nineties-style lo-fi rock, a la Pavement. But he stays true to his Liverpool roots in the video for Two To Birkenhead, an affectionate low-key portrait of his hometown by fellow Merseysider James Slater.
