A card game with cosmic consequences is at the heart of Jake Jelicich's stylish video for Blossoms' catchy Charlemagne.
Jarryd James 'Do You Remember' by Jake Jelicich
With a background in shooting fashion films, Jake Jelicich has delivered this very stylish promo for Jarryd James's track Do You Remember. The video is simple, alternating between different photo-experimentation sequences of the model Emily Bador, along with sequences of James, lit from different angles.
Working as DoP as well as director, Jake creates black and white images that looks straight out of darkroom photography processing, and plays with editing, lens-focus and light exposure to focus our attention on the slow, driving beat. It's a successful video proposition that just matches: beat by beat, cut for cut.
