Glitches 'Organelles' by Holly Blakey
Holly Blakey is one of the most highly-regarded and in-demand choreographers working in British music videos - her most recent work is on the new Georgia Hudson-directed video for Ellie Goulding's Love Me Like You Do. And she's multi-talented, as proved by the promo for Glitches' Organelles - the second for the Whitechapel trio, following the video for RGB just over a year ago, she has directed as well as choreographed.
Dance is, of course, central to the piece, as a means to explore questions of gender and identity. Male dancer Owen Ridley-DeMoncik dons a dress and extravagant tri-colour makeup before moving with wild abandon in the corridors beyond his dressing room.
And this also marks the first of a series of new music videos commissioned by i-D, that will be appearing over the coming weeks.
