Brighton-based animation team Persistent Peril began their fruitful relationship with indie label Full Time Hobby a couple of years ago, when they made a marvellous iPad-generation update on the biblical version of Creation for The Leisure Society's Fight For Everyone.

Now comes their video for Phantom Power by Diagrams, the solo project of ex-Tunng member Sam Genders. And as with Fight For Everyone, an accessible, cartoon style and beautiful design is the vehicle for a video that mixes imagination and fantasy with a twist of something darker.

This is a break-up story, where our putative hero attempts to find comfort after being chucked out by his girlfriend, by virtue of a magic tree stump, that gives him three portals into a happier past. But just when you start to expect the big romantic Hollywood ending, things start moving in another direction...
