The second collaboration between Pharrell and Japanese artist Takashi Murakami (apparently they once made sculpture together) is a merge of manga-style, Gameboy-inspired, psychedelic animation.

The promo is relatively similar to his work on Kanye West’s ‘Good Morning’ in 2009 but with even more charm. Pharrell’s many collaborations are generally notable (Robin Thicke not included) but are rarely as exceptional or striking as this one. Murakami - credited as producer, with 'Mr. and Fantasista Utamaro' credited as directors –transforms quite an average track into something sublimely refreshing.

A special mention is due at 3.59 for the ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ re-image of Pharrell, Murakami and his Pomeranian puppy as the faces on Mount Rushmore.
