Jagaara 'Faultline' by Charlie James Reader
David Knight - 25th Sept 2014
This mainly performance-based promo for sister-group Jagaara's Faultline by Charlie James Reader is high on atmosphere, and a strong visual impact based around the use of colour.
There are also glimpses of narrative, but this is really about creating a mood around Jagaara's impressive merging of the Seventies melodic soft-rock thing, and the minimal XX-style indie thing.
CHARLIE JAMES READER:
"We wanted to show a simple and honest performance while creating a slightly otherworldly atmosphere. Something moody and atmospheric through the subtle use of light and texture.
"Behind this, we wanted to open up a narrative through fragmented memories. Pieces of a story from a certain time and place - you're not sure why you remember those particular points, but you're on a journey with someone, and you're lost in the moment."
