The Young Folk 'Way Down South' by Alexina Davidson
Luke Tierney - 8th Sept 2014
The band are from Dublin, but new director Alexina Davidson offers the sweet taste of a Swedish summer in her video for alt-folk quartet The Young Folk's Way Down South, taken from their album The Little Battle.
Shot around Molkom in Sweden, Alexina translates the song's nostalgia for young love and simpler times into a yearning for love, fighting against the magnetic pull towards isolation and protection.
And Alexina has dedicated the video to her mother Hilary Davidson, who lost her fight against cancer on the 27th of August.
