I Like The Go Go 'Crystal Rock' by Chris Hugall
Following his video for Slaves, Chris Hugall's latest old school lo-fi music video is for Brighton two piece garage punk/indie outfit I Like The Go Go. And the video for Crystal Rock - shot on several formats – follows the band members on a double date to nearby Worthing...
CHRIS HUGALL:
"Worthing is a weird washed-out town with a dreamy feel. The singer Ben is a physically huge guy, and the song is really sweet; I wanted to capture this (seemingly unlikely) tenderness. It was funny watching him and drummer Roo awkwardly being led around by their girlfriends. It is shot on a variety of cameras, including much Super 8mm footage and Hi 8 camcorder, which gives a great air of nostalgia."
