East India Youth 'Heaven, How Long' by Joe Spray
Jimmy Brown - 14th May 2014
UK singer-songwriter Will Doyle - aka East India Youth - takes a journey down train tracks through a beautiful forest in Joe Spray's visually appealing promo for the slow-burner Heaven, How Long. Then, just as the track gains momentum, we are treated to a grungey VFX extravaganza courtesy of Dan Tombs...
JOE SPRAY
"For our third video working together, Will and I wanted to pull together the pace and motion explored in the first two videos whilst ensuring the video was flavoured by the specific dynamics of the track . This was quite a challenge for me, with a track that's so grand, ethereal yet all encompassing, coming up with a visual counterpoint that can live alongside it was a tall order.
"Having seen and loved Dan Tombs remixing and tearing up the footage of our previous two videos for Will's live shows, it seemed obvious to pull Dan in to reach another level with the climax of the video, which takes the visual elements to an whole new level of distortion."
