Gentlemen 'Children Of The Setting Sun' and 'Gentle Duke' by Edward Housden
Jimmy Brown - 16th Apr 2014
Edward Housden, director and bandmember of rock-blues-soul outfit Gentlemen (described somewhere as what The Beatles would've sounded like in 1972 if they hadn't split up), has now created a two-part video – to coincide with the release of two EPs, Night Reels I and Night Reels II – focussing on the story of a Holy Child.
Shot in a forest, Housden documents a small cult of women who follow this young guru-like figure (played by Cecil Wood) who displays a powerful and overwhelming vision. And musically Gentlemen really get their groove together on Gentle Duke. The band will be touring the UK supporting Teleman in May. ‘Night Reels’ is out now on Week of Wonders.
