When Shynola do something new, they usually to spring a surprise. They have duly done so with their new video for the fine Icelandic singer-songwriter Emiliana Torrini's Tookah. The masters of Maya have returned to 3D animation, but to expose its limitations, to make something unapologetically fake.

Emiliana is remade in early-Noughties CGI, a disembodied head in ambiotic fluid, lipsyncing the song - artificial like a Victorian doll, before undergoing digital duplication, and general deconstruction. Definitely won't be another pop video like it this year...
