Lucy Anne Watkins has directed this absorbing video for new band Lungs' Loner, combining live action (photographed by Gabi Norland) and her own hand-drawn animation to visualize the haunted imaginings of the band's two members - former Guillemots guitarist Mclord Magrao, and photographer Suzie Blake.

Drawing inspiration from the dark tone of the song, the pair struggling in turn with their demons, that loom all around them. And the swirling images that surround the couple are a very effective, very gothic way of expressing mental anguish.

Lucy Anne Watkins: "The animated elements were hand-drawn using a Wacom tablet, and came from my imagination.

"Although I had a clear idea of how the animation would interact with the live action when I shot the video, many of the animated sequences were inspired by Suzie and Magrao's fantastic performance."
