Now here's an interesting arrangement.  Glitch-pop oddity ExitMan is Ewen Bremner, the Scottish actor famed for roles in Trainspotting, Black Hawk Down, Hallam Foe and many more.  And here is his music video for Trouble Not directed by Andrew Douglas -  who has made a return to music videos recently (he also directed the new Jake Bugg video) having directed of recent remake of The Amityville Horror - and co-starring Ah-Sung Ko of monster horror The Host, the highest-grossing South Korean film of all time.

If that line-up wasn't enough to pique your interest, then let us tell you that the sharp-suited Bremner has a completely unique and enormously entertaining way of dancing, nicely choreographed by Roni Blak.  This happens on the city street, outside a theatre supplies shop with smoke machine in full flow, luring in Ah-Sung Ko and a number of innocent civilians.  

None can resist Ewen/ExitMan's gangly-limbed, monochrome charm.  There's even some surreal stop-motion wedding manniquins. It's like Thom Yorke meets the Pied Piper of Hamelin with a sprinking of horror-film surreality.

Andrew and ExitMan dreamt up their video in springtime in LA. "The original plan was to turn the city and all it's street furniture into a giant percussion instrument to express the idiosyncratic rhythms of the song," says Ewen. "Then we stumbled across this fantastic DJ store downtown on Broadway and thanks to a very fortuitous visit from Ah-Sung Ko - a new plan was hatched, very much by the seat of the pants."

And you know what?  Ko and Bremner also appear together in Bong's upcoming film Snowpiercer, starring Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton and Octavia Spencer, due for release later this year.
