James Blake’s Lindisfarne by Martin De Thurah
James Blake and Martin De Thurah follow on from their collaboration with James' first video Limit To Your Love with the latest single Lindisfarne.
Shot over the course of a night in the Berlin suburbs, it's an intimate portrait of a girl about to leave a group of friends - who perform a ritual to prepare her for the journey ahead.
"James' music is a challenge to write ideas for,' says Martin. "It's very intimate and very honest, and has so much a space in itself. It easily seems irrelevant to make something beautiful for this music - because it is already so full. It's like it doesn't need so much more."
The kids in the film were cast locally - a mix of young actors, friends and street-cast real fans. It's also the first project to be officially produced through A+, the new division of Academy Films focusing on music videos, content and new media projects.
