Merry Christmas and happy Yuletide season to all our readers! We wish you heaps of peace, joy and happiness - and sincerely hope the big guy in the white beard brings you exactly what you desire.

As for a few seasonal videos to send you on your way, we've gone for some goodies (even if the visual quality admittedly leaves something to be desired). Firstly there's this rare sighting of Chrissie Hynde dressed as a Salvation Army girl in the video for The Pretenders' 2000 Miles. It's a gem (although surely there's a better quality version online somewhere...)

Maybe its the anti-war sentiment, the fact that everything is coming over a bit early Eighties, and a few people just aren't going to make it home for Christmas, but Jona Lewie's Stop The Cavalry somehow seems to be the Christmas oldie of the year...

We'll leave the last word to Chrissie's ex, Uncle Ray Davies. What you would call a less sentimental Christmas song. Well, at least makes a change from hearing Slade or Wizzard...
Merry Christmas, er, Everybody!
