The Horrors’ Mirror’s Image by Weirdcore
The latest Horrors vid from their Mercury award-nominated album Primary Colours sees their studiously employed lanky Velvet Underground-style performance mode reinterpreted by Nicky Smith aka Weirdcore.
Having created acclaimed visuals for Aphex Twin, M.I.A and others, and recently providing the compression effects on Nabil's splendid video for Mr Hudson's There Will Be Tears, this is Weirdcore's full music vid directing debut.
So make way for crunching compression, gigantic pixels and hypnotic digital butterflies. Sick!
And it's now featuring as a free mpeg4 download on (quite surprisingly, but they are currently on tour in the States with them) the Nine Inch Nails' website.

The remarkable experimental design and animation skills of London-based Weirdcore, finds a brilliant outlet in his latest video for Tame Impala's Cause I'm A Man.
Weirdcore harks back to the classic works of Chris Cunningham, and even further back than that, with his brilliant video for the title track from Aphex Twin's new EP Collapse.
For the synthpop of Clarence Clarity's Meadow Hopping, Traffic Stopping, Death Splash, Weirdcore continues to live up to his name with this orgy of oddness.
