A musician tries to express his thoughts onto paper in new director Riffy Powerz' stop-frame/live action promo for French artist Digitale Sanguine's Rythmes Digitales.
Guillemots' Get Over It by Up The Resolution
The Guillemots' MC Lord MAgRAo (definitely his real name) approached Up The Resolution - that's Dom Thompson-Talbot, Merlin Nation and Griff - to co-direct the video for the first single for their new album Red, and the result is this ravishing spectacle.
UTR's work has developed through pure animation to post-heavy work to pure live action - and they have a live action short film for two Cinematic Orchestra tracks coming out later this year. Get Over It definitely leans towards live action as well, but also has a graphic, vibrantly colourful quality - very Red in fact.
Lead singer Fyfe takes a surreal journey through his own sub-conscious, accompanied by various bandmembers, surrounded by teeming images mostly courtesy of back projections. Lovely old motor too.
