Denisha Anderson's latest collaboration with Miles Romans-Hopcraft - aka Wu-Lu -features the multi-instrumentalist/producer and his bandmates exorcising their demons in the wide-open spaces of a sun-scorched landscape.Primal emotions are explored in this desert-like environment - actually a quarry in Suffolk - for the video for Blame, from the back of a drifting car and elsewhere. Ultimately, a white-pupilled version of Romans-Hopecraft is buried, neck deep in the rock, by the rest of the band.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]“It is about a breakdown in communication between my inner voice and my external voice and a situation that arose which led me to end a relationship”, explains Wu-Lu&nbsp;about the song, which is featured on the forthcoming debut album&nbsp;LOGGERHEAD, which is released in July.“For this video, I was inspired by the films Dogtooth and Paris, Texas," says Denisha Anderson about the video - her fourth for Wu-Lu.&nbsp;"I ran with buzzwords such as road-trip, disconnection, fear and goodbyes to the old self. These themes were used as a starting point for my vision after a long chat with Wu-Lu about where he was emotionally from writing the track."As the song is high energy throughout, I wanted to juxtapose this with stillness, slow movement and negative space. Through this, I aimed to build to the pace of the visual so the viewers are ultimately carried on a journey when watching.”

Danny Brown is cooking something up in the kitchen - just not sure it&#39;s food - in this superbly hallucinatory video directed by Matilda Finn.With a great use of extreme low angles and close-ups, and gritty black and white photography by&nbsp;Joel Honeywell, Finn builds a sense of existential dread and claustrophobia in the apartment where outsiders are keen to be admitted and sample the wares.At the same time,&nbsp;amid Danny&#39;s fear and self-loathing and tenuous grasp of reality, there are scantily-clad girls and cash. Finn comes at&nbsp;these&nbsp;hip-hop staples from a new viewpoint - and still makes them sexy.

Greg Barnes directs a three-track live film for artists Patten on Warp Records in part collaboration with Red Bull.The 10 minute live film is a slick and colourful affair which is constantly in motion. Seamlessly mixing digital, video-tap, and 16mm film formats, and forever encircling the duo as they perform, the videos format-hopping, glitchy edits combine beautifully with the light show to create a dramatic-looking film.Barnes&#39;s films bring in elements of Patten&#39;s live show, creating something impossible to reproduce live with the duo disappearing and reappearing to their own synthesised scratches. Blink and you&#39;ll miss some of the excellent edit work here.

But the dying man&#39;s hallucinatory journey is not about to offer him much consolation. Quite the opposite it seems.&nbsp;&quot;I would mention the Tibetan Book of the Dead, but who wants to hear about that?&quot; says Young Replicant. &quot;It&#39;s a story about a father navigating through the afterlife bardo, the intermediate zone, towards a new state.&quot;&nbsp;It&#39;s also a story that FlyLo aka&nbsp;Steven Ellison - who makes a rare&nbsp;appearance in one of his own videos, as part of a &#39;ghost chorus&#39; that trails the father - says &quot;encapsulates the meaning of the record...it&#39;s one of the most important moments on&nbsp;You&rsquo;re Dead!&nbsp;and holds ideas I&rsquo;m planning to explore in my future work.&rdquo; &nbsp;

In fact, in much the same way that Michel Gondry built a fairytale and then systematically destroyed it in Bjork&#39;s Bachelorette all those years ago, here&#39;s&nbsp;an excellent&nbsp;demonstration that good memories aren&#39;t necessarily real...Jackson himself features as the hero turned anti-hero (and then possibly hero again)&nbsp;in this&nbsp;highly unreliable love story.

It&#39;s very cocky indeed.Mrzyk &amp; Moriceau, illustrator-animators extraordinaire,&nbsp;have created a symphony of explicit phallic symbolism -&nbsp;a full-on&nbsp;Freudian dreamscape of penis-snakes, penis-cigars, penis-sharks, and much more&nbsp;that are bitten, stabbed, sliced and stamped-on by a super-sexy female silhouette - all in M&amp;M&#39;s slick fine-lined, beautifully rendered, Manga-comic&nbsp;style. And that&#39;s only the half of it, in the video described by Jackson as &quot;castration dynamite and phallic entertainment for everyone.&quot;Well, perhaps not everyone. But certainly it&#39;s jawdropping, remarkable, and&nbsp;taboo-busting. As one YouTube wit has pointed out, &#39;it&#39;s ridickulous&#39;...&nbsp;

A marvellous video for Warp signing Jackson And His Computerband&#39;s Dead Living Things - featuring the distinctive vocal stylings of Planningtorock - by Alex Courtès, that really is good for repeated viewings.It has an impenetrably&nbsp;surreal, vignette-style that has become quite familiar&nbsp; - and Alex has commented on its debt to other notable filmmakers, saying on <a href="http://warp.net/records/jackson-and-his-computerband/new-video-dead-living-things" target="_blank">the Warp Records site</a> that &quot;this project is a direct reference to the works of Fellini and David Lynch. It is a juxtaposition of life scenes and actions that have nothing to do with each other in particular, that however create a fantastic dynamic and resolutely surreal experience.&rdquo;Absolutely. But it&#39;s worth adding that the film really has the true&nbsp;quality of a dream. These scenarios are conjured from imagination, like a random dreamer&#39;s thoughts, with&nbsp;a coherent narrative just tantalisingly out of reach.&nbsp;&nbsp;
